**What I Need**
a) I need to output MySQL data in table format according to specifications by me and allow the viewer to sort the different headings by ASCENDING or DESCENDING (data in table be alphabetical, numerical, or both so to save coding you could set it to sort numbers first then alphabetically)
* All data from the table won't start with a non-alphabetical or numerical character (i.e. $ # % ^ &, etc) so the coding should be easy! If there is too much data (10+), numbers at the bottom shuold be displayed to take the viewer to another page.
b) I need to output MySQL data based on differing 'Category' titles.
- For example, the common key between some data in the MySQL are the 'Category' names. When I output a table in Category format, I need it to display all the data with that category. The category names cannot be hard coded because they can be dynamic.
- To illustrate,
**Category ProductName Price**
TV Sony 50" HDTV $499.99
TV Panasonic 20" TV $99.99
MP3 Apple iPod 80 Gig $299.99
The code should run through the MySQL table and output like this:
Sony 50" HDTV for $499.99
Panasonic 20" TV for $99.99
Apple iPod 80 Gig for $299.99
a) I need an advanced search code. This code should search a particular MySQL table and outputting any matches it finds. The output will be identical to how the table in Part 1a should be. (so pretty much copy the code there) The only additional parameters are to limit the search.
- For example,
Price Under/Over(dropdown) $"text field" (user enters price)
Limit to 5, 10, 15 results per page
Sort by 'various headings'
