Looking for a unique interface for an ISP aimed at the gaming industry. Will need to be scalable to user preferences, but easy enough for the common person to use.
The coder MUST have a good understanding of the bandwidth industry and gaming. We will look to simplify IP to IP log ins into a simple click of the user name or server name.
The end goal would be a similar system to the surface of Valves p2p software called Steam. Having a “friends?? network and an IP based search engine. The difference is, we will focus on all IP based servers on a VPN. Games (of all sorts), VOIP servers VOD servers and whatever the future holds. This project will be given away along with our high speed DSL (already packaged).
Not being a coder, I find it hard to assess the difficulty of certain things. So to make it easier I will explain what I would like to see.
I would log into this software and connect to the face of my ISP. This would have a list of my most used games, web pages, forum links ect. I would automatically log into my clan/groups chat channel and VOIP server (can be integrated into chat room). All content viewed on this system will be hosted on a private VPN and not accessible to the internet. I need a latency monitoring/troubleshooting system to all potential servers I wish to access. In other words when I log into a Counter Strike server this system will execute scripts to adjust/update rates within my system for optimum connection. Always putting game packets first. Our entire network is built for gaming. This software needs to insure gaming experience is perfect FIRST. Our company is small, but our resources are huge. Will accept interesting trades of services as payment. We have a national reach, plenty of bandwidth and servers, a national ISP and lan centers. Most notable is in game designers, we will host and promote your game free of charge in turn for coding.
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
Servers will be mixed Linux and windows format. Home users will be predominantly windows.
