This project requires code to convert two dynamic text files for use in a RSS feed. The two text files are generated by a radio station automation computer and are FTP to the radio station’s web site. One file is a column delimited text file that shows when and what is going to play. The other file is a text file that shows what is on the air now. The files are replaced ever time a new song starts playing on the air in the automation computer.
I am open the best method of how perform the modification of the text files and where it should be performed i.e. on the web server side or at the radio station automation computer before they are uploaded. The radio station automation computer OS is Windows 2000 Pro.
The expected results are the following;
[url removed, login to view] code must be rock solid.
[url removed, login to view] two XML/RSS 2.0 compliant files from the automation text files.
[url removed, login to view] code must provide for “user” definable channel name, description and link.
[url removed, login to view] “on air” file must also include code to point to an image file stored on the web server using the same name as Artist / Song Title i.e. “Beatles – I Want To Hold Your [url removed, login to view]”
I have placed examples of automation text, XML files here and I am looking forward to seeing your ideas on what you think the best approach to use and why.
I should also add the station web site has PHP and Perl, but lacks MySQL.
Thank you for taking the time to look at our requirements.

Hi! I have worked with RSS in syndicating news headlines before and built many PHP parsers - this project should not be too different. I hope that you will accept this bid and I look forward to working with you.
