We are a insurance claims office that assist people with social security claims that have been denied by the Social Security Administration.
I have an Access database that I need a custom interface built that allows multiple location access to the same information. We are currently using MS Access forms and reports to interact with the database locally but need the same access to the database from additional locations.
Our current database includes approximately 2800 client records in a single table but that has limited us to the amount of information we can enter for each customer. There are certain types of information (ie. number of claims for each client, requests for medical records to development their claim) that may vary in number from client to client. We would also like to have the ability to enter notes onto each clients' record as certain events happen.
There is main customer data with about 90 fields and there may be optional data related to each customer in other tables that needs to be viewed and modified when present.
I would like the new database to be online so it can be accessed from many different computers regardless of their location but secure as this is sensative information.
I would also like to be able to scan documents and attach them to the appropriate clients record so they can be viewed without depending on locating the physical paper file for the client.
I would also like to be able to print various forms relating to the client that assist in the paperwork requirements for performing our job when requesting medical records and submitting requests with the Social Security Administration. These forms include basic information already present in each record for the client.
There are about seven situations that the new database should notify us when a follow-up is necessary on our part based on when either a claim was requested and no response (approximately 120 days after being filed) has been received or when we have requested medical records or forms signed from the client and have not received (approximately 21 days after being requested) them yet.
Other reports would include a list of active clients by office and age, court hearings that have been found favorable, court hearings that have been found unfavorable and other reports that list what pending claims we are working on.
