The project is to build a membership site that enables members to sell products to the general public. It has similar functionality characteristics of a membership dating site.
The project is therefore split into two:
Firstly the front end home page is for the general public to find a member and buy products, they must be able to search for a member by specialty field or by geographical location (global). There are therefore secondary home pages that look identical to the main home page, if a person searches for a specific field only the members who are relevant will be displayed, the same applies if a person searches for a city and country only those members registered in those areas will be displayed. The content of the public front end (member photos, blogs etc) is provided by the backend private members section.
Secondly the backend is the login membership site where the members have their own private home page. Like a dating site they must be able to:
1. upload, manage and delete photo's,
2. have messaging facilities to communicate with the administrator,
3. be able create and edit there own public view sales page - by completing a template
4. create public view profile page - by completing a template.
5. They will also be able to write and post articles to their public profile page blog, these articles will also auto load to the main Kick Ass Home page blog section.
6. Manage their products
7. Monitor sales and stats
8. Respond to queries
9. Book appointments
10. Create an email capture and manage email list, will integrate with an auto-responder like Aweber.
It is important to note that on the public home page both the photo's of the members and the blog posts must have random rotation and that members can have a maximum of 2 articles showing on the front page. They can have multiple articles on their individual public profile/blog so they must be able to nominate which 2 articles are featured on the public home page. This is to ensure that all members get equal exposure on the main home page.
It is imperative that the functionality of the site is automated, however we will need to have the function of approving content before it is published. Therefore an admin suite with an approval inbox with the option to approve (publish) or reject (return to member)
For payment the preference is to use Paypal subscription service for the members and Paypal for products, possibly moving to e-commerce if needed.
I have the artwork for the logos and I can provide wireframes to show the basics of how the site should look and the functionality that each page has.
I would like to see samples of your work.
Thank you and goodluck.
