I had a php function created to integrate on a Metatrader indicator that would check username/password for vBulletin 5.0.5 database. By checking user/password it would allow a software to be run.
The PHP file is correctly created (attached), but vBulletin forum was updated to latest version 5.1.1 and now password location has changed and lo longer is on the "user" table, it's on another table. It shouldn't be a big issue if you understand how vBulletin 5.1.1 user/password works.
Vbulletin said on 5.1.0 release this: The Password System has been refactored. A new password system has been added to vBulletin. This allows us to quickly add new password hashing schemes if the need arises without invalidating old passwords.
I need to fix/update the small attached PHP so that it can check username/password from a vBulletin 5.1.1 database. An external application would execute that php file and get a true/false. I just need the php file fixed/updated for new vBulletin 5.1.1 user/password structure
Username is on table "user" and field "username" as you can see in the attachment.
[url removed, login to view] is the file that needs to be updated, DB password is not there. I will need to test it, will change the password myself. So in the beginning we should maybe create an Echo function to check if user/password is correct, like "valid" and "not valid".. Once I check the user/password is correctly read, then you will remove the echo... then I will test it on my tool and see if it's read correctly.
PHP script worked, it used the SALT table to hash/unhash passwords, but password table and possibly SALT table have changed location. It must be a simple thing, but I need to fix it so that it can read any user/admin username/password correctly.
