I purchased the script [url removed, login to view] (DEMO: [url removed, login to view] ) today but immediately after installation discovered huge feature lacks which I couldn't image wasn't included or thought of...
This script is suppose to run from the home folder of a specific website which is plain dumb. The whole idea which a sitemap generator should be to run it from a specific location where it can access ALL sites on the web server!
What I need is a script more or less identical to [url removed, login to view] (which I wasted 20 bucks for today) that is INTENDED to run from ONE location on the server, reaching out to ALL sites on the server.
Additional function description;
Script should be located in /home/generator/ only.
Script should be able to connect to any site on the server using port 80.
Sites are located in /home/*USER*/public_html
I need a key feature for the input field "Save sitemap to:" (See DEMO);
In this input field I need to add correct save path / filename for the sitemap.
The script should scan all subfolders in /home/ (only 1 level) and have an AJAX auto suggest function.
I should not have to type in /home/*USER*/public_html/
I should ONLY have to type in *USER* then the script adds /home/ and /public_html/
If it is impossible to scan /home/* at least I should only have to edit the *USER*
It leaves less room for errors by user.
The script must be able to write to any /home/*USER*/public_html folder
I can, if this is impossible, create subfolders within all /public_html/ folders called sitemap which has permissions 777.
Field "Starting URL" and "Your Sitemap URL" should be linked. When I enter "Starting URL: [url removed, login to view]" "Your Sitemap URL" shoud automatically be "[url removed, login to view]"
Ability to send "weblogUpdate" type of ping notification to [url removed, login to view] and others.
If you have read this project description, and understood it, please write "iptables" in the public message field, and "locales" in a PM.
Summary, make identical as the other generator just more flexible.
