We are a manufacturer of sporting good products that are sold in major retailers throughout the U.S. An important part of our business is to properly merchandise our products on hundreds of store shelves. To do this, we have merchandisers that visit these retail stores on a regular basis. These merchandisers add product to the shelves, take a picture of the display and then send our corporate office the picture and product inventory information.
This information needs to be stored in a database and also compared. In addition, I want this program to grab daily inventory information from various retailer's inventory management system (initially this will include only 1 retailer and we have easy access to this information). I would then like to have this data tied to a Google map type of API to more easily manage the merchandisers and identify inventory issues at the various retailers. I envision visual alerts identifying inventory issues. Also I will want to be able to graph the data in mulitiple ways.
I am looking for someone to help spec out this program. Once this spec is completed, I will want to have it implemented. This initial bid only includes the program spec and not the implementation component.
