My website is in desperate need of a new downloads system that is modern, secure and also integrated into our existing CMS and database - I am using a Mambo CMS with the phpBB component- the phpbb groups database tables holding the level of the user on the site - this is important as there are three levels of user - unregistered, registered and sponsor. The overall idea is for a downloads system similar in aspect to Fileplanet and other systems in that when a non sponsor wants a download then they are added to a download queue, during their wait they are given a popup screen containing site news, banners and an option to upgrade there and then. In addition non sponsor members should be capped to one consecutive download at a time and also an administrator definable speed limit on downloads. The administration panel does not need to be integrated into Mambo - in fact I would prefer a seperate Admin system that allows me to quickly and efficiently add downloads and administrate the queue. The downloads system should allow categories and subcategories - wysiwyg adding of descriptions and images with a simple uploader, plus also a moderated comments system. Because our files are spread over two dedicated servers due to the size of the existing file base (over 110 gigs) leech protection is critical - I have a purchased licence of LinkLokURL however, so if you decided you wanted to use that, then I can supply it for your use - otherwise you will have to come up with some other secure download system of your choice. Please bear in mind that I run a massive amount of BW a month so avoiding bw leeching is critical. addenendum - It would be useful to have a wysiwyg admin area - allowing me to upload images, postition and resize, choose fonts and so forth as well. On a final note usability - the ability to gove an easy to use interface to the end user and a fast and easy to use system for the admin is critical too. Many thanks for reading this requirement.
