It needs to be written so it works with the framed HTML page layout I have attached. Additionally, I would need the scraper to be modifiable to access different websites with similar layouts (I would prefer using a DOM TREE but if you have another method that works well just give me an explanation how to modify it for the slightly different layout of a different auction sight). Once modified for a new website I can add an additional item to the SITE drop down box. Most web sites have this layout of a live updating table (only difference is location on page and class ID’s) I’d like to make a catalogue of them that can be live scraped.
Program details. (In order to get an idea of what I’m going for: Once you open [url removed, login to view] click on one of the active auctions in the bottom frame. This will show an auction in process and all of the info that needs to be scraped)
Other semantic things that need to be done.
The gist of the program is that I need the scraper to collect the bottom frames information (Time, Bid, Bidder, Type, Unique Bidders) and catalogue it for live viewing on the top frame. The final aspect could be a button that opens a new window that displays all of the collected info so far. Additionally, I need to be able to modify it to work with other Penny bidding websites [url removed, login to view], [url removed, login to view], [url removed, login to view], exc.
Message me if you have an idea along these lines.
Hopefully I’ve described it coherently enough but if you have any further questions please message me.
