We need a multilingual website based on CMS with a dynamic product catalog.
Multilingual - easy adding of new languages, content translation and frontend localization.
Not every page will be available on all languages.
Product catalog - dynamic product catalog, multilingual and some language specific fields. My be no pricing on anonym users, and different prices for regions.
Partner search – location based and illustrated partner search (on simple map). Partner database.
Protected pages - After log in, partners can reach confidential content and product ordering (e-shop). Restrictions per user groups and locations may apply.

No current system exist. There will be a dozen of languages /countries. A few hundred products, and a few dozens of suppliers.
Users should select a country or use the global page. The global page is English. Selected country affects the displayed pages and products.
The company does not sell products to end users only to registered and authorized partners. End users can see recommended retail price on products available in their countries, but not on global page.
Operations organized by countries, so the website and ordering system etc, is organized by countries. Product pricing is different in each countries. Discounts can be assigned to partners.
More than one language per country is possible. The system design should use SOA and Object Oriented Architecture.
The default website:
Standard CMS functions (News, Document libraries, Galeries and other elements)
Countries and languages maintained together.
Protected Partner site:
Accessible after authentication only, to registered and approved partners
Default language of the site is based on the language assigned to the partner in the database.
Partner Forum –
Content and searches are Filtered by Languages (By default) – (English site users can see the English forum with the possibility to check other ones)
Partner document library -
Documents displayed from the document library by different categories
Order processing pages (e-commerce)
Post sales pages (warranty and other status updates and documentation upload)

Partners are arranged by Countries and Regions

More users can be assigned to a partner company, with different permissions.

The product catalog is the source of the order processing system.
Order Processing System (e-commerce):
Default language of the system is based on the language assigned to the partner in the database.
The language of official documents – Invoices, Pro forma invoices, Shipping notes, User manual etc is based on the language assigned to the partner.
Almost everything is manufactured after the order is placed. Some items might be on stock.
A serial number can be assigned to a product item before shipping or when on stock.
Authenticated user orders from the product list available for his country.
Pays custom amount of down payment (50%).
Receives a Pro-Forma invoice
Order sent to the manufacturer.
Supplier partner logs into our system or Automatic orders sent to suppliers on custom intervals (eg: Daily, Weekly.)
Adds Confirmation, and indicating the planned availability date.
This information is sent to the partner.
After the production is finished manufacturer adds the serial number of the product, and marks it as collectable from factory (or ships it directly based on shipping methods)
Final invoice is prepared and sent.
Final Payment Collected
Post Sales Process:
Certain Product items (with serial number) are recorded for future reference.
Customers can check the warranty status of their product based on serial number on the Main website.
They can extend the warranty with yearly service up to a preset number of years.
This extension is managed by the Partner in the product ordering system. He has to give the service date and upload documents as proofs.
The same is true with the installation date and documents.
