You are expected to do the following with HTML data in a SQL/PHP backend:
1. Given an HTML string from a database column, you are to create or use an existing WYSIWYG HTML editor to allow for it to be edited.
It should also have at least these features:
a) Group the data together by placing a (div around the selected data)
b) Allow for embedding (hopefully using HTML5's simple features) of media assets. ie: additional sound, video and picture (by links to local HD or external data)
2. An editor to directly edit the html contents (not WYSIWYG) - You may use open source programs already out on the market or borrow some code which provides the required functionality.
3. Allow the HTML content of a record to be cut into two records, or two records combined (string combining)
Record data sits on a Php/MySQL server (the backend is done, so you can just grab data out of the DB, NOTE: we use MySQLi standard for security reasons)
Hello. It looks like a fun project. I have experience with TinyMCE, so i think I'll use that. I've also seen some code editors with syntax highlight that would be useful for the plain HTML editing.
