We are looking towards developing a web-based photo printing service. Essentially our potential customers will be able to upload, view, print and pay for their photographs.
Enclosed in this bid is a very early stage functional specification document which outlines what we want the service to do. The final func spec is nearing completion and will be made available to the selected bidder.
At this stage we have not decided on the language platform though we are leaning towards JSP. If the cost differential is substantial it would help to put in bids for both platforms (JSP and PHP). Parties are free to use open source and 3rd party modules/codebases. This however, must be clearly stated in the bid and any cost implications highlighted.
We are available to answer any questions up until the 14 Oct. Then the selection process begins. Thank you for your interest in this project and for putting in a bid. We wish you all the very best!
1. A document detailing work which you have carried out in the past. Links to currently running web sites and/or services (where applicable) or references where such work cannot be accessed on the Internet.
2. A document showing the phases in which you plan to implement the project. Also include each phase estimated duration and cost. Please note that required phases in the project implementation include alpha and beta testing. The beta testing may need to run for as much as 2-3 months.
3. The cost for 1 year support of the system after project implementation. This should cover need to correct problems not detected during the project implementation and/or modifications necessary to the code base to bring it in line with our functional requirements. (Extensions and/or additions of new features to the system will be carried out under a different project agreement.)
