I need some extra help with a project I am working on. I have a client that would like to have a specific site search engine, Zoom Search Engine, modified a bit for better results.
Zoom Search Engine is located at www.wrensoft.com. If you are familiar with it, GREAT. If you are not, its not hard to understand. However, I am no PHP/java guru so I couldn't tell you what was what.
The software will be purchased from wrensoft by us, and basic installation will also be installed on to the site in question.
The site we are installing the search on is www.marshallcountyonline.com. It's a list of businesses and web sites centered around Marshall County Kentucky.
NOW, the specific requirements/modifications are as follows.
1) Some sort of if statement that forces an EXACT PHRASE MATCH based on what the user types in. If the exact phrase match does not yield results, then an ALL THE WORDS result will be used instead.
2) If only one result is yielded by the user's search, it will jump directly to that page the result is on and not show a list of results. Futhermore, it will jump to the line on the page (the later option is already installed in the Zoom Search Engine, but you may need to modify it a bit to make it work with the page jump.
In all actuality, this should only be a little bit of code changing (unless there is something I am not seeing.) Which is why the budget it no more than $100.
Thanks for any consideration!
