Build a Java Applet to work with all web browsers, ideally the applet won't require the latest JRE version, so we can maximise the number of people that can use the applet without a Java upgrade.
The applet will check which printers (printer drivers) are installed on the client computer and send the friendly name of the driver and the model name as a POST or GET string to a URL.
The applet will be used as part of a process to allow our customers to detect which printers they have installed so that our website can show them the cartridges for those printers.

Once the applet is created and sending the information back to our site, we will display the results and integrate them with our site search. If this isn't possible, the applet should display a list like the example above with buttons next to each one.
