We've been happily working with a programmer for many months (and several thousand $) on some custom software. Mostly PHP, I believe, but he also mentioned something about GIT and some other words I didn't recognize or remember.
The guy claimed to be nearly done, and i believe him. The problem is.........he seems to have disappeared. Not sure if he died, sick, or what. It's been two weeks with zero contact and he was always great about replying and answering the phone.
We still owe him 40% of our agreed upon price. He is also due a percentage of our business upon completion........ We don't think he burned us and left all that on the table.
We have to do something, ideally something that doesn't involve starting from square one.
Most, if not all his, code is on a place called BitBucket. Not sure where databases would be located.
What we asked him to build was not easy but certainly not impossible. Many of the features I know are done as they are on a test site. There is at least one CMS...maybe three.
I have access to bitbucket as well as the server that hosts the test site. This access could stop at any moment.....he is hosting several sites for us too....ughhh. Changing servers and emails over next few days.

For now... We are looking for a talented, honest, patient programmer to spend a few hours learning what we're doin (a game) then a few hours analyzing the code that has been written.
We'll need to make copies of the code....some other bitbucket kind of place I suppose....or a file?
We would like your analysis of the game and the code and your opinion on what to do......
Ideally, you'd tell us that the code is good and that it can be easily finished.....hopefully you don't tell us we're totally !@#$ed. We want honest opinions though.
We would like a fixed price for this consultation.
We may choose more than one of you.

We've been trying to get this built for over a year. We had another, local, programmer bail on us last year for "personal reasons"......after many months.
