I have an existing website at [url removed, login to view] built in WordPress. I have the template built in both WordPress and Drupal. Please see the existing site and see what is currently there, then compare with my comments for changes and additions below. Then please comment on how you plan to solve the problems and ask questions as you need clarification. I do require comments on each of the items below so I know you can accomplish all the tasks.
A) The slideshow on the homepage can only show items that exist in the calendar. I need the calendar to be able to show items directly from the calendar, but also special notices or other custom slides at times. Would be great if I could also set dates to publish and unpublish items from the slideshow, but that is not mandatory.
B) The calendar list under the slideshow should show the next three items in the calendar in order of even by date. The calendar in use on this site is from Time.ly. They offer a theme-able widget that I think can be used. Otherwise the code will need to be customized to show the events properly.
A) The calendar should still be from [url removed, login to view], even if the site is moved to Drupal.
3) Find A Business
A) This page must sort in alphabetical order and have a pager that indicates letters (ex: A-D, E-G, etc). Currently most are sorted by letter, but only because the list was sorted before import. After import more were added and they appear at the end.
B) I'd like a second business listings page linked at the top of the existing one that would be a simple listing as a table on one page of all members without images. I can provide a Photoshop mock-up if needed. This should be easy, I think, and should happen before the existing Find A Business page is completed. (might want to redirect that link so I have a working page while the other is completed).
C) I created business categories and need to be able to filter by category. For instance, a visitor should be able to select a drop-down and choose "Restaurants" to filter to only restaurants.
4) Join Form / Renewals
A) One goal of this site was to allow users to join and renew online. To make this happen I was told we should use Gravity forms and we integrated Paypal for subscriptions. I'd like to talk about what is the fastest, best, and cheapest way to do some of this, but may choose not to do this at all now. Originally I wanted users to register so they could change their info, update pictures, add calendar events, etc. I'd be happy if I just had to do all of that now and the rest worked. I was told it's because of Gravity Forms that we cannot sort users by business name (item 3C above). If there are any questions or concerns about this, please discuss with me before accepting the project.
B) The join form doesn't work correctly. If a user joins, they are required to input some information, but some of it is misleading or wrong. For example, the email address says it is required but won't be public, but it is. We may need two email addresses: one for notices from the Chamber, one for public display. Open to other suggestions here.
C) I need to be able to make users inactive when they don't renew their membership. Ideally the payments and renewals will be handled all within the website with the ability for manual input if someone pays by check. This and A) may require discussion before project start so you understand my needs.
A) the site loads slowly and I'd like this to be sped up.
B) I want to have a regular backup configured (may be done, needs tested)
C) I need some help cleaning up some extra admin accounts
D) Need to reconfigure the MySQL user and password
E) All items created, updated, etc. must work as responsive pages. Most do now, but there may be various small items to fix or finish.
F) I use Trello to manage these tasks and need you to use it as well. It's simple and I can teach you in about 10 minutes.
