I need a program that will grab a screenshot of the current screen, and save it to a PNG.
The twist to this is that it needs to work even when the screen is locked, or a screensaver is active. Thus, I want to get the screenshot of the desktop, not the screensaver or the login screen. (This is known as the default desktop/window)
I have already written a program to grab a screenshot and save it to a PNG - but I cannot get it to work when a screensaver is going. It will either grab a blank screenshot, or a screenshot of the screensaver.
I believe that all is required is to switch the window to get the screenshot, but can't get it to work.
Whoever can get this to work will get some money!
You can use my existing program as a base - it is written in VB, and I use a 3rd party control to save it as a PNG. I believe that I am only a few API calls away from being able to switch window and grab the screenshot, so this will probably be a very easy project for whoever knows how to do it.
