The flash file contains a template for making a? multiple choice / short answer quiz.
I've also set up a simple animation (motorbike)? that moves across the bottom of the screen each time a question is answered correctly, until it gets to a finish line.
? I'm now working on bringing in a computer opponent. I've created opponents on Scene 184. I'd like a different coloured motor bike to appear on Scene 1, depending on which opponent the user selects. Each bike will be designed to cross the screen at a different pace.
On Scene 1, Frame 1, the user enters their name and presses the "username" button, which takes them to Scene 184, frame 1.
On Scene 184, frame 1, the dynamic text should welcome them by name as follows:
"Hi <whatname>. Have a look at the profiles and choose your competitor."
On this scene in Frame 1, ? I've configured the buttons to link to the 8 competitors' profiles.
Users can navigate through profiles using the previous and next buttons.
When the "select" button is used [not yet configured], to select a competitor I would like that competitor's bike to be placed in the "Rider - Computer"? layer on? Scene 1, Frame 3 with a width of 30, at
x = 50
y = 445
Competitors' bikes are animated symbols in the library:
I have already configured the layer called? "Rider - Player" so that the bike on this layer moves across the screen with each right answer.
I'd now like the computer rider to move at a pre-determined pace on the "Rider - Computer" layer? until it gets to the end point (currently the end point is frame 22, but this can change if I add questions) where it needs to be in position:
x = 750
y = 445
I'd like the riders to move between their start and end points at the following speeds:
1_blue_betty - 60 seconds.
2_brown_barry -? 80 seconds.
3_green_gary? -? 100 seconds
4_green_gertrude -? 120 seconds.
5_orange_olga - 140 seconds.
6_purple_peter - 160 seconds
7_red_rodney - 200 seconds.
8_yellow_yuki - 250 seconds.
? If the computer gets to the end point before the user does, I'd like the "You_lost" gif to appear at
...on Scene 1.
Also, when the user finishes the quiz, and when they go to Scene18 as per usual....
- If they have finished the quiz before the computer rider, I would like the "You_won" gif to appear (at x: 600, y: 100)? as well as the message (in the dynamic textbox called 'feedback')? "Well done <whatname>. You won. Keep up the good work!"
- If the user finished the quiz after the computer rider, I would like the "You_lost" gif to appear (at x: 600, y: 100) as well as the message (in the dynamic textbox called 'feedback')? "You lost <whatname>. Keep practising and you will get better!".
