We have a working media player on site (
[[url removed, login to view]]) but want changes/enhancements.
The player that is in use now is developed with Flash. Flash cannot be used with i-Pad. We therefore may need another player (also because we want pause/replay buttons etc, see below). This new player should work on PC, Apple, i-Pad (if possible) and not yet now but in the future: smartphone.
OR: WE LET SYSTEM DETECT WHAT HARDWARE IS USED AND ACCORDINGLY USE FLASH OR ANOTHER PLAYER AT RUN-TIME.
In order to know what is required from the player, you can best take a close look at the present one (in
[[url removed, login to view]]). You can 'start AurelisOnLine' with login : demo - 159753 . Please follow a few pages and start the player.
Concisely explained: for each session, there are a number of soundtracks (voice) that need to be played automatically one after another. The most important ones of these tracks are 'intro', 'suggestion' and 'exit'. There is for each session one 'intro', one 'suggestion' and one 'exit'. These differ from session to session at user's choice. In addition, there are 'spacer' tracks (little empty tracks). Please look at how this is done now. There is also a 'background music' track that can also each time be different. This track is played *together with* the voice tracks. This is all very well functioning now.
Security: we do not want users to be able to copy the sound files. We know security cannot be 100%, but we want it to be as good as possible.
On screen of the player, there should be:
* indication of total time of the session
* indication of the time already played
* pause / stop / replay buttons
* timeline (on which user can go back and forth within the *complete* session)
At present, the player appears in a popup window. This should be a full-screen window with nice design. 'User experience' during a session is extremely important!
The design of this window: may be slowly moving. It should aid the user to come into a very relaxed mode, 'floating', meditative, oceanic.
After each session, the Player window stays open till the user clicks 'close'. The user then sees the previous window.
IN ADDITION: we would like to put some complete sessions as such (as stand-alone clips) at YouTube. This is for the future, not part of this job.
