We require a similar site to [url removed, login to view] where users are able to view traffic conditions using a map. We encourage bidders to develop code in a phased manner - we will pay for partial completion of acceptable work. This is likely to be an ongoing relationship. We encourage the winning bidder to submit screen designs/ideas for approval before completion to reduce rework. Key points are: - Must use google maps as the mapping widget (i.e. make use of the google maps pan/zoom/search[zoom to] facilities). - Must allow overlays for traffic information (e.g. show bad traffic by coloring road red) - Code must be well organised and clean (e.g. css used for all style information, w3c compliant [accept by agreement], tested on multiple browsers [IE 6 & 7, Mozilla, Opera, Safari]) - Should have a intuitive menu facility to allow users to navigate to different pages: - A page to enter user details to register for mobile phone updates (name, phone number, keywords [comma separated]). Only the web-page is required - no data storage is required (yet). - A page to deregister user details (name, phone). 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc.).
