I have a device that is connected to a USB Port 1.1 (Not 2.0). The Device is listed in the Device Manager as an Imaging Device. None of the imaging programs can list it as a source of still images. For them it simply does not exist. I have tried programs that support WIA/WDM/Twain/Camera-Camcorder-Scanner. Using USBMon program I have **complete** device information and USB port information. With USBMon I can see data flowing back and forth also. The device has its own driver installed. Since I know the full device details I want to be able to send and receive binary data to and from the device. I want to send Hex: 0A 0B 0C to the device and then capture any response from the device.
The device came with a program that talks to the device and downloads stored images successfully. I want to programmatically be able to talk directly with the device just like the program that came with it. The program that came with the device first "Looks for and establishes a connection". Then it starts downloading the images. The device driver is a single .sys file. OS is XP. The device does not appear as a removeable drive and does not seem to appear as any form of "Network" connection. It is also does not appear to be HID (?HID compliant. It is proprietary!)
Thanks
Keith
