Recently, I purchased a Tivo digital video recorder with the hope of connecting it to my Pioneer BD-V3501 Digital Cable-TV box, but have run into a problem.
The Tivo unit comes with a standard 9-pin serial cable with rectangular ends but the BD-V3501 has a round socket for its serial port. Do you know where I can buy an adapter that will allow a standard serial cable to plug into a round serial socket or serial cable with the proper connector?
If you know the pin configuration for the Pioneer serial socket, then I can get a custom cable built, but I will require a xerox copy, PDF, or web address, of the document containing this information as proof that the information is good.
I have called Pioneer and my cable-tv company (Time Warner of New York City) and both refuse to help.
