I need the design of an electronic board to monitor up to 2 digital inputs and 1 RS-232 serial port. We want to count the pulses detected on inputs and they should not be faster than 100 Hz. We prefer to have the PIC Microcontroller programmable with any sort of Basic since the application only needs to accumulate and read pulses. The job is select the Microchip PIC for the JOB, write simple examples with Basic and design the board and its connections in order to have it working. Obviously, price of the components and glue is an issue, so the design should go as low in expenses related to components and size of the final board as well. We are open to negotiate a fair price for the design. If you can manufacture the board is also a plus. We want to attach to the inputs two magnetic reed relays to activate the inputs when they sense the magnet. The board should report via RS232 the accumulators in any form so a VB program can catch them...any way, we can rewrite that. A led indicating the board is powered would be nice. Another led flickering every time a pulse is detected is a good one too. The board should programmable via RS232 and be capable to change from ProgrammingMode to OperationMode, so the same RS-232 port can be used.
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under International Copyright laws. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
