Simple Customer Sign In program for store

Prepare an Access database program for customer sign-in and processing of used clothing in resale shop. Our store buys and sells gently used teen style clothing. To sell us clothes, customers bring them in bags, boxes or laundry baskets. After signing in on a clipboard and filling out paperwork, their bags and boxes are lined up behind the counter for employees to evaluate the clothing before making an offer. Our proprietary POS system handles the pricing and detailed customer info. However, when 10 customers come in at once, the bags & boxes pile up and we lose track of which bags go to which customers. The project will involve creating a simple log in system to replace the clipboard sign in. This process resembles the process a dry cleaner might use and will print bag labels, customer claim check, and certain maintenance items as described below. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done, including: a. Access database program with main menu, status screen, sign in screen, and an employee maintenance screen; automatic printing of store and customer claim receipt after click "Sign in"; automatic printing of bag labels; customer receipt will have claim number, number of containers given to us, customer last name, date and time, along with certain disclaimers; store receipt will have a place for customer to sign to agree to certain requirements. The program will not be used to track customers in a detailed fashion, which is done in the POS system. Claim ticket numbering will start over at 1 each day b. customer screen should have input masks to control all formatting where possible; no more than 9 bag labels can be printed per sign in (to prevent typos from cranking out 100 stickers); email collection is optional; b. routine for printing a listing of the day's sign ins; c. routine for exporting email addresses for a date range in CSV format d Routine for 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. The workstations this will be deployed on will NOT have Access installed, so the program must be compiled so that it runs without Access on the workstation. All printer drivers must be included. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. Not all the functionality is there, but it shows a framework to start from. A lot of the work has been done. Please review and bid accordingly. ## Platform Must be able to function under Windows 98, 2000 and Windows XP. Labels will print to an Eltron label printer; claim tickets can print to an Epson receipt printer or an Okidata Microline 320 loaded with perforated specialty labels, depending on method selected by coder and buyer. Drivers must be included with the completed installation package. The program may be installed on fairly old "spare" equipment we have in the different stores, so keep as simple as possible.
