I would like to get my own merchant account and am wondering whether you know any of the inside ways to basically set up my own merchant account company for my own personal use.
I am sick of going through other companies, and am looking for some truth about merchant accounts.
(i.e. is there a way to bypass all the middlemen and get straight to the banks and accept credit cards and online checks)
I sell downloadable products (software and ebooks) from my various websites and I don't ship physical products 99% of the time.
This is a problem with some merchant account companies because they think it's high risk.
I will probably only use this information or service for myself, so there isn't risk.
I'm looking for an expert who has experience getting their own account set up, or maybe even someone who has worked extensively for a merchant account company to guide me through this twisted, tiring mine field quickly, professionally, and expertly so that I can have a credit processor that works flawlessly for years.
*I Have High Expectations!
I want good rates (I don't want to pay more than 3.9% per transaction.
I want my own system that makes it easy to set up an order page for any account, any time.
I don't want to have to learn super-technical stuff.
My original bid limit is $250, but if you convince me you know exactly what you are doing, I may be open to considerably more once I see that it will work to meet expectations.
I am in the U.S.
P.S. Any information or ideas you have I'm open to suggestion.
