I'm building a class matching site called [login to view URL] and need some assistance with the Javascript/AJAX calls. The site itself is pretty simple, but the page where you submit your schedule has me a bit confused. It's pretty intensive in javascript and ajax, but all of the code should be available on [login to view URL] and various scripting sites. Anyways: Take a look at this page: [login to view URL] This is the bulk of the work and there is only one feature to be implemented. 1) The page needs to recognize submitted classes, like it already does through the autocomplete menu. I'm using automatic menus so that one can type a few letters and it will find class matches. 2) When a user is adding a class that's not found in the database, the page needs to automatically add the class to the database and show that the user has it selected by turning the text field into plain text. Additionally, this is a simple feature, but there needs to be some sort of spinning icon on the left to show that the work is being done. This needs to work in both Firefox and Internet Explorer.
