What to Do: This is a team project for your presentation team. Develop a mini-information system for Super Software Supply Service. It could involve the check-out counter, inventory, customer service, marketing, profit reports, statistical analysis, human resources, frequent buying bonuses, or any other aspect of running a computer store or chain of computer stores. Your information system should have the following features: Mandatory Features The system should have at least 2 separate data files. These cannot be identical to the files we have used so far this semester. The system should produce at least 2 types of reports or printouts. Each may be for a customer, a manager, a vendor, etc. These should be different from the reports we have created so far. At least one of these reports/printouts each must use data from at least 2 different data files. Search: At least one report/printout must locate a particular record or set of records that match a user request. This means the user inputs some values and the system checks the data records to find all the records that satisfy this user request. Do this twice, once for a user request that finds data records, and once for a user request that does not satisfy any of the data records. The system should print the contents of each data file in a nice format. (Records may be displayed on a single line or across multiple lines.) This printout is in addition to other reports/printouts listed above. The system should DISPLAY a menu to the user. Each feature/report in the system should be called from the menu. If you wish, features/reports may require the user to input some information. Be sure to display the appropriate messages to the user's screen to gather user input. Notes Each feature/report in the system should open and close all the files it uses. Be sure to check for any possible error conditions. You can create your data files outside the information system, or as part of the information s
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Installation package that will install the software (in ready-to-run condition) on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) Complete ownership and distribution copyrights to all work purchased. *I ONLY NEED THE FILE PRINTING -INDEXED FILE IN COBOL* An order tracking system with three data files: 1.) A CUSTOMER data file that contains CustomerName, CustomerAddress, CustomerSince, and Discount. 2.) An ITEM data file with ItemID, ItemName, ItemDescription, ItemCategory, and ItemPrice. 3.) An ORDER data file that will hold the respective CustomerName, ItemName, DateOfPurchase, and QuantityOrdered. Possible reports would be: 1.) All orders for a particular customer with the most recent order listed separately. 2.) A list of all customers with the total amount for all orders to date for every customer. Let me know what you think! One more problem I am facing right now: Professor Chen has chosen to ignore all my pleas for additional copies of the Uckan text. I do not have access to the book, and there is next to zero additional information about ISAM and relative and linear file organization out on the Web. As it stands right now, I don't have a clue how to do assignments 3 and 4. If any of you guys has a copy of the Uckan book, could you please provide me with a scanned version of the 'Indexed Sequential' and 'Relative File Organization' chapters? I know that this is a tall order, but by now I am really desperate--heck, I'd even be willing to pay you for your efforts. Bests, Mike Dear Groupies,
