The attached file is written in VB 6. I’d like to make this a web based PHP application. Basically the application accesses a web site, parses the html looking for stock symbols, checks another website for prices on those stocks and if various conditions are met, records the data. This process is repeated every minute from 4:30 am to 4:30 pm, 5 days a week. Note that the VB application uses a timer control to accomplish this. My plan is to use a Cron Job to do this via the web. The conversion should be pretty straight forward except that the application holds data in memory for processing between intervals and I imagine the PHP application will need to write and read this to a file instead. Your testing of this project should consist of setting up a CRON job as described above, and running it for a couple of days for the indicated times during the day and running the VB app cocurrently to make sure the results agree.
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows? (depending on the nature? of the deliverables):
a)? For web sites or? other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software? installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
