cisco Ip phone setup help please.

Not the normal type of project posted here but hope someone might have experience and be able to help configure my Cisco IP PHONE with my VOIP provider in terms of hardware and software configuration. I have a brand new CISCO 7940G complete with callmanager license but not SIP Firmware sofware. A VOIP account that is known to work with the phone and a Dell dimension with only one ethernet connection. IP phones are totally new concept to me and wondered if someone with knowledge of setting them up might be able to take me through the complex (to a novice) process of how to plug and how to run? with things like tftp servers or whatever they are called etc. Also being a child , help with loading the ringtone from a website that has the ringtone from 24 into the phone as well.. I know...I Know.... Software from VOIP is from Gradwell.
