My name is Daniel Garza and I'm the President of EdgeWorks, a non profit in Corpus Christi, TX that hosts the city's annual film festival.
Our website (under construction) can be found at [[url removed, login to view]]. We are hoping to see EdgeWorks, the organization, evolve into a true film commission. To that end, we would like to develop a database that would act as a Cast & Crew Directory and a Location/Properties Directory.
The idea: local cast and crew should be able to create accounts and submit professional headshots and resumes that would be searchable by specific criteria: gender, age, race, height, weight, skills, etc. These headshot/resumes should be combined in a single page format and producers who search the database should be able to print the headshot/resume as a pdf or email it to another party.
We also want to catalogue the city by geography, architecture, etc. Producers should be able to do a search online for beaches, parks, lakes, government buildings, historical landmarks, etc.
All of the above would be managed by EdgeWorks. Individuals who wish to be listed in the cast & crew directory would pay a small annual fee. Talent agencies who wish to search would also pay a small annual fee.
