We have a spreadsheet in Excel with dates/events in columns and attending members in rows and then simply a number in the box where they are attending. The first event they are attending is 1 the next 2 and so on. If they attend four events there row changes colour from that event and forward and if they attend ten events it changes again and then four more times as they attend even more events. At the end of each row the total number of attended events is listed.
We now want to move this to our website and add two new pages. I guess the easiest way is to save data in a MySQL database. These pages will only be available for admins. The two pages are:
1. A page that list all members (in reverse order) with there membership number, Membership name, surname and total attended events. This is the only page where real names are shown. If a member is selected all his previously attended events should appear in a new window and the full real name..
On this page there should also be a "add new member-button" this should open a box to insert his/hers real name and membership name. This should automatically give him/her a membership number. A warning should appear if the name already exists and ask for a new name. If the membership number is an even hundred a warning with "Are you sure you want #name# to be member number X00?"
2. A page with all events (in date order with newest first) and if the event is opened a small box with attending members and some statistics: how many previous events each person has attended, how many events in a row the person have attended and a color box that matches his total attended events color as explained above. We also want a "red-X" beside the member that delete him/her from the event.
At the top of this page there should be a "create new event-button" that opens a box asking for date and name of event.
There should also be a "register member to event-button" next to events. When this button is pushed a box to insert the members membership name in appears, it would be nice if this had autofill from the list of members to ensure that the name is spelled correctly and registered to the correct member.
There should also be a "delete event-button" next to the events. The deletion must be confirmed before executed.
I have attached a small picture of how the spreadsheet look today. The spreadsheet is 900 members long and a couple of hundred events wide.
