The University of Texas System seeks a contract Drupal Developer to assist the Web Team in the Office of External
Relations. The Drupal Developer will assist the Web Team’s project of transitioning legacy HTML sites into the
main UT System Drupal site. This includes working with internal offices to determine site needs, creating new
section settings and configurations, and testing before deployment. The developer will also help on day?to?day
operations of the UT System Drupal site as needed.
Duties will include:
? Assess and transition legacy HTML sites into Drupal and develop corresponding new features if needed.
? Revisit existing modules, settings, and configurations for better implementation and streamlining.
? Edit existing Drupal configurations to accommodate new requests, usage and growth.
? Test, debug, and run quality assurance for new Drupal content types, modules and settings.
? Handle short term production requests for UT System offices and initiatives.
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and 3 years of full?time employment in Web development positions,
or an Associate’s degree (or equivalent experience) with 5 years of full?time employment in Web development
? Minimum of two years experience as a Drupal developer. Sites with large scopes and/or a large amount of
users are preferred (public or private sector).
? Experience with implementing accessibility and web standards.
? Exposure with developing mobile websites or web apps.
? Preferred experience with the following:
o Drupal 6 installs, Acquia cloud hosting and 3 tier deployment environment.
o Modules: Views, Panels, Taxonomy, Revisioning, Tiny MCE/WYSIWYG. CSS writing/editing.
o Theme and CSS development.
