The purpose of these questions are to act as “talking points?? in providing appropriate questions and well thought out answers for those interviewing me about a novel related to our current dependence on foreign energy

**David Hearne: **One example of such a book is The Handmaid’s Tale that dramatized the repercussions of environmental changes caused by pollution and radiative waste from nuclear power plants. Margaret Atwood purposely crafted her novel to shock people into thinking about the problems of toxic waste, pollution and radiation. It is an unsettling dark story about how our actions or inactions affect nature and our very existence.
