We have an old Content Management System written in Cold Fusion that we are converting to ASP.net. We need to install the old application on a server in our department to test it out and use for a model in the conversion. All we know is that it ran on Apache before and is about 10 years old. We have Windows Server 2003 set up with VMWare so that we can test out as many installations as we need to until it works. We have a CD 4.5 server edition which can be installed and some of the versions still available from Adobe are 6.1 and 7MX . It uses a third party library called EMPower for custom tags and we have the documentation on that. All their technical support could tell us is that all you have to do is copy the custom tags from their sample application to the custom tags folder in the application we are using. The installation manual is on this link [login to view URL] All of the files necessary for the installation have been downloaded to the server and most of the installation configuration has be completed
## Deliverables
Here is the status of the current installatin environment. The deliverable will be completion of the installation and testing out the application to resolve any errors and that the application runs successfully. In this configuration, we have the web root in c:\inetpub\wwwroot, but the site root is on another drive. In our example, its at d:\ektron and empower is physically installed there. In this configuration, you would have to create a ColdFusion mapping for the site root. In this case the ektron folder and it would point to d:\ektron. You would also need to make sure that a ColdFusion mapping existed for just “/?? and that it pointed to your web root, in this case c:\inetput\wwwroot. In this configuration, the configuration settings will look like the following: In [login to view URL]: request.site_path = “/?? request.empower_path = “/ektron/?? In ColdFusion administrator: Logical path = “/?? Directory path = “c:\inetpub\wwwroot?? Logical path = “/ektron/?? Directory path = “d:\ektron??
