If you have C++ and Python then you might be viable for a project to take Blender and " massage " it to mimic a graphic modeling program we have BUT cannot get rights to use as we want. It has no API and the company will not licence the code. Hence our interest in making the most out of Blender.
It would also involve taking the Unwrap features to mimic the other program already and working with us to improve the texture, hair and fur features. Taking the product from Games and Animation to Design for production of an actual product.
Am looking for a suitable contractor to appraise and cost a project around Blender.
Will entail " simplification " of existing Blender front end for non IT technical users in regard of 3D to 2D marking and unwrap to produce a pattern map. Production of texture templates for easy incorporation into pre made .obj models. Cut / Copy and paste of 2D image onto the 3D model surface. Ability to produce a single model from a gallery of redesigned components.
Incorporate existing, activate suitable, develop promising - plug ins - to enhance Blender experiences. Integrate all required features to make a comprehensive product and overcome the need to import premade .obj models.
Become leader of a development team to incorporate new functionality in the software for industry specific disciplines.
Target to provide SaaS service around design and manufacture using specialized, but non IT, people. Home based in remote areas.
**If you are Hong Kong based it would be a HUGE advantage** as would ability to work in Simplified Chinese or have access to accurate translation systems. MUST be a good technical English communicator as a second language ( at least ). Mainland Chinese applicants would have to supply proof of trust.
