Using the network simulator **ns2**, you will have to design some simulation projects. You will need to implement an M/M/1 queue in C++ as well as using the ns network simulator. You would design a self-similar traffic source and would integrate this new traffic source module into an ns-based simulation of an M/M/1 queue.
This project is of graduate level course. You should be familiar with TCP/IP networks, Discrete Event Simulation. Self-similar traffic, and the ns2 network simulator. The programming skills that you would need are C++, OTcL, and using perl/awk/sed. *You might also need to read from books and online tutorials to complete this task*. I will provide some of the material. I have written the details in the attached file.
