This is a very simple yet interesting project!!
What we need to create is a messaging or notification system that can speak to many networks. The idea is very simple. Imagine that you need to send a message to a user using more than one method. Like SMS, MSN, Yahoo, Google Talk, email, etc. Currently there is no service that provides such a function. This project target is to provide this functionality for 3rd party coders and programmers.
The scope of this bid is everything in the background; the core of the system. Don’t worry if you are not a seasoned web designer. This bid is not about designing web pages.
What you need to know is:
**MySQL:** To create the database needed to hold the messages queues
**libpurple:** To be able to send messages to almost all IM networks. Check <[login to view URL]>
**libClickatell:** To be able to send SMSs to mobiles or cell phones using the Clickatell gateway. Check <[login to view URL]>
**C or C++:** To write the daemon that monitors the MySQL database and sends messages
**PHP:** To be able to write the script that will recive the notification requests and feed it into the database.
For more details check the SRS attached. And see the diagram in the end of the PDF file.
