Hello,
I am sick and tired of all of the current P2P clients that have tons of adware, slow connections, large program files, and too many features, so I would like to have my own made for me.
What I would like is a coder to make a P2P client application that is very fast. I am not sure what programming language it should be written in, but I would like it to be able to run on low end machines, and load pretty fast (Please explain what programming language you will use, and why it will be fast). I would also like it to be able to be compatiable with WINDOWs, MAC, and Linux OS's.
I want a simple program that can search, download, view, and execute files, and that is about it. I want it to be in a .exe file extension for windows machines, and I would like the download file (the program) to be small if possible.
As for the download network, I know there are a few open source networks I believe that you can connect to. I want it to be able to connect to many different networks including gnutella, edonkey, and others. You should be able to pick and/or download plugins to connect to seprate networks.
There have already been numerous p2p clients on socreforge that have most of the features I want, as well as much documentation on how to connect to each of there differnet networks. Search around on freshmeat, sourceforge, and the internet for info on how to connect to these networks. Also check out <[login to view URL]> for the gnutella protocol.
I don't think this should be to difficult to do, as we are not creating an actual network, but just a client.
I would really like to just find someone who would be willing to work for free on this project, but if I must paysomeone to do it, then I will.
The thing that is most important, speed and ease of use.
