The project envisages a code module that can be called [in multiple instances] to access a series of POP3 email boxes, download email and append the parts of each email to a record in a MySQL 5 database.
It must work on secure and standard POP3 mailboxes. The pop3 server address, pop3 mailbox id, pop3 password must be read from a master db table in the database.
The code must automatically run at intervals [preset value in the database table], download the email and append the parts of the email to fields in a database table with a record identifier.
The body of the email will have data delimited by <CR> or commas. The data needs to be appended to another table with a record identifier.
The code needs to be abe to download and process 1000 emails per minute at an average email size of 1k each.
The process will be called from within another program and once called, must continously download email from the selected mailboxes in the master db table at intervals specified in the master db table.
Must be compiled to run on RHEL 5 or Fedora 9.
