Hi, In the first stage, i am looking for a solution strategy document for my web based Multimedia Knowledge Portal. The solution strategy shall be implementable by the bidder himself (ofcourse through another project) or by some one equally competent. The customisation should be kept minimum preferable to be nil. The solution strategy document shall consider and address the following multimedia knowledge portal features (not limited to): 1. This is for an educational institution who will be webcasting their lectures to their students. The lectures could be ppt slides, audio and video. The solution strategy document should consider multiple formats for webcasting. 2. Producing, publishing and presenting navigable and searchable multimedia presentations. The multimedia presentations shall be PPT slides, audio, video. 2. Tools which enable you to capture and publish presentations to the Internet. Archiving allows remote viewers to be free from traditional time constraints imposed by live presentations. Even if their schedule doesn't allow time to see an event in person, or via a webcast, they can achieve nearly the same experience by viewing the archive. [login to view URL] for remote viewers are kept to a minimum -- at least a 56K connection to the internet/intranet, a PC, Mac, or Linux system with a browser, and Windows Media Player, Real Player, or Quicktime. The proposed solution shall use off-the-shelf components and industry standard media streaming technology to reach the broadest audience possible. 4. A web based user friendly and navigable interface for multimedia knowledge portal archive. The solution strategy shall consider only open source based components like Videolan, epresence server, mpeg4ip. Hence, requesting bidders with good experience in multimedia streaming and other allied areas only. Regards
