I need a UI designed around a vector image of an aircraft. ? The initial view will be the entire aircraft with sections of the aircraft that are selectable. ? As you roll over the selectable options they are highlighted or slightly enlarged, etc. to indicate it as an option. ? The name of the highlighted section needs to be displayed in a label or similar concept to verify identify of selection. ? Once a section is chosen (clicked on) it explodes into view and is also broken down into selectable sections that represent different components of the aircraft. ?
This drill-down vector-based UI needs to to go for 3-4 levels depending on the component. ? I'd like for this to work without visible post-backs to the server - a combo of jquery and ajax would probably be best. ? It may end up being SilverLight based at some point in the future but will initially live on a website.
I also need the vector artwork done as well but will list it separately. ? If you are interested in creating the vector for this project based on a PDF of the aircraft schema feel free to bid for that as well.
FYI, the site will be a C# [url removed, login to view] app running on a Windows server.
I am counting on your experience to help create a UI with the desired effect... you can recommend best to implement the interactive UI. ? Again, the basic concept is to start with a single vector image of the entire aircraft, different sections are highlighted/outlined/animated to indicate it as an option for selection. ? Feedback needs to be given to the user throughout the experience so they always know what is currently selected (if anything) and they know what remaining choices are for selection. ? I am open to hearing interpretation of how this will work but need a fluid, interactive and engaging UI for selection of components.
