We have an asp/xml/xsl application in which agents and agencies enter listing information and pictures to display on our website and TV channels. We would like to be able to get their listing(s) info from their MLS or their own website where possible to eliminate the double entry of data on their part. The areas we are in cover many MLS's and will grow as we add new areas. So, please consider whether a one-time solution that fits all or a per client/mls solution will work best. I need a rough estimate of what it would cost to implement this. My initial idea was to implement the Variman RETS server distributed by the National Association of Realtors, pull everyone's information into it via RETS, then modify the existing application to extract it out of the RETS server. If you know of a better way, or have the knowledge and experience to implement this, please state an inital estimate of what you think it will cost. We can then open up a dialogue to discuss more details and modify the project costs accordingly.
UPDATE: Please read the above information carefully. Simply providing an iframe containing the realtor's ID variable will NOT suffice. The information from the agent or agency's website AND/OR MLS must go into the Variman RETS server. The information in this server will then feed our current application, which we will need to modify. It will also serve a Video OnDemand application via xml which is another project to be posted soon.
