I'm looking to develop an application that would make exporting important Outlook information as easy as possible. This way a persons contacts, calendar, and email could be seamlessly. Basically, the user would have the ability to access their Outlook information from anywhere... whether it's their office PC, home PC, laptop, secondary PC, and even their cell phone / PDA. The cell phone / PDA sync would be the most appealing characteristic as is the ease of use for the customer. Any recommendations are welcome as to how this could be acheived... I see the mobile device interoperability as being the most difficult task. I prefer Microsoft technologies such as VB.NET and/or C#, but if Java can do the trick, then it would be acceptable. Once I gauge the feasibility of the project, more defined specifications will be developed.

The project requirements have changed slightly. What I'm looking for at the moment is an addition to my VB.NET 2005 app that I'm in the process of creating. It will utilize this Outlook add-in to sync contacts with the application database and MS Outlook 2000/XP/2003. That's to say it'll both send and receive contact updates from Outlook. I will provide either an Access or MSDE (or maybe mySQL) and a solution "shell" to work with. Do you think you and your team are up for this? What type of time frame do you think we're looking at? How many hours? ...total cost? I might try doing it myself, but I have lots more work to do on the application. Please let me know. I'll maybe revise the requirements on the site, but I'm not sure. Thanks!
