We use the datbase software GoldMine. Download a free demo at: [url removed, login to view];lid=5&pid=2&cbClass=391
Our information is in the software, but we want to stop using it as we are migrating to Linux and don't really like GOldmine. Basically, the software/script we need you to write will export the information from the foxpro database and organize it nicely in html pages so that we can access the information as a reference (without modifying it in the futue).
For details, please read:
Goldmine uses flat file FoxPro database. We want you to write a script to use one time to export all the data into the following stucture:
1. A HTML "Index page" linking to "Contact Listing" and "Infocenter listing"
2. For "Infocenter listing", create an index page with hyperlinks to each category. The category page will have lists of all the individual pages by title. Clicking on the titles will take the person to view the contents of the page in the infocenter.
3. A HTML page with hyperlinks listing all the contacts by last name, first name, phone number, and email address (or email addresses listed by comma). The person will click on the hyperlink to take him/her to the details of the contact.
2. In the "details page", list the name of the person, phone number, email, etc., and have a link to view all the notes that had been entered, a link to see each email (with a hyperlink to the name of the file of attachment), etc.
