70292 forgot password functionality

i would like to add a forgotton password function to my existing user registration/login script this will require modification of my existing registration script and a new script that will email the password to the user my current system uses a txt file based database and stores its usernames and passwords like the this: username|password|thier_userpage/[url removed, login to view] my registration script should be modified so that there email address is added after there userpage location, like this username|password|thier_userpage/[url removed, login to view]|useremail(at)[url removed, login to view] the forgotton password script should allow the user to enter thier username and email address, the script should then read the user-database file and if the username and email address they entered match, the users password should then be emailed to the email address in the user database, if the username/email address do not match the user should be shown an error page. i think this would be easier to test on my own server thanks :) -colin
