Membership and Barcode Photography

We’re looking for freelancers in different US states who have existing long-term memberships—or know someone who does—with gyms, museums, grocery stores, or libraries. This project will require submitting photos of physical or digital membership cards as project assets. The images must clearly show barcodes or QR codes and the merchant’s name, and should be submitted in PNG, JPEG, or HEIC format. Any personally identifiable information must be removed or fully obscured. The pay rate is set to $1.50 to $2 per accepted asset. Here's the spec doc: [login to view URL] Here are some FAQs for this project: 1. Should PII (ie names, signature, address, headshot photo, etc) be redacted? If yes, what is the required format? - Yes, this should be redacted or otherwise hidden. No PII may be visible on delivered assets – participants may cover PII or supplier may redact after collection. Barcode and merchant name should be visible. - Have participant cover the PII - needs to be obfuscated, no annotation or redaction format required 2. Some stores (ie Costco) use credit cards that double as their membership ID, is this acceptable? - This is acceptable if their card number and any PII is removed. 3. Are day passes / tickets with barcodes permitted or do assets need to be long-term memberships? - Day passes (eg. day museum entrance) are not permitted, only long-term membership 4. Is there a required amount of photos vs screenshots for each category or pass type? - 50/50 split if both a physical and screenshot are available for a given store, organization, etc. 5. For physical cards, does both the front and back of the card need to be captured or is it only the side with the barcode? Does front + back count as one asset or two? - If merchant name is visible on the same side as the barcode then only one side, if there is no merchant name on the the side of the barcode, two pictures will need to be collected to capture both the merchant name and barcode and count as 1 asset. 6. Is normal wear and tear on cards acceptable? - If it’s usable (barcode still in tact, merchant name is legible with human eye) 7. Is login permitted to access membership cards? Since most membership or discount cards are only viewable after logging in, prohibiting login may pose significant challenges to data collection - Yes, permitted. 8. Minimum resolution required for photos or screenshots? - 1MB - image must be visible and clearly readable by the human eye 9. Annotation required? If yes, what format? - No annotation required 10. Are only current cards permitted or are expired cards acceptable? - Current cards only, no expired cards allowed 11. Any specs for lighting conditions or backgrounds for pictures of physical cards? - should be readable by human eye
