This is a job which will be offered on a monthly basis, provided you do well, then further work will be given. Photos are taken by me and provided to a large media publishing company for publication in a magazine. Therefore editing needs to be of the highest standards.
Right now I have 112 photos which need to be completed in the next 8 hours! That's edited and uploaded! So you can apply for either my last minute urgent job or send me your application for future work similar to this.
You will receive:
.NEF files (camera raw, Nikon)
You will receive 3 photos per shot, over exposed, under exposed and perfect exposure (this is for when shots include a window and will require multiple exposure photos being merged to create the perfect picture)
Photo volume will range anywhere from 70-150 photos per shoot (I do at least 2 projects per month but will mostly only require assistance for one per month depending on my work load)
Approximately 3-5 days editing time (deadline)
You will need to do the following: (please note: the majority of the photos only need very simple fixes)
Remove lens spots
Remove light plugs and cables
Merge multiple exposure shots to get the perfect exposure in all places of the photo
Remove chromatic aberration
Apply camera lens profiles to a photo to correct it
White balance correction
Vibrancy, saturation, etc
Remove noise and sharpen
Remove reflections if there is an item present which looks unsightly
All images are copyright, confidentiality is utmost, deadlines are tight and non negotiable. You will not be credited in the magazine or in any other form. You will however be able to use the low res images in your portfolio (online or print) - only strictly after publication of the magazine issue may you use these.
In order to apply I require the following to see your level of work. You may send me links to your portfolio, however I wish to see your skills first hand with a simple task I will give you:
You may provide the completed image as low res or high res for review, I will not use your edited photos in any capacity other than to view the quality of your work. You may find the application package for download here: [login to view URL]
3 .nef files (1 photo and another with 2 different exposures) for editing as per above guidelines
Your application should include the 2 completed images as .jpg
Upload your completed photos to a file sharing site of your choice
$25 (70 - 100 photos)
$35 (100 - 150 photos)
If you are good then this will be an on going monthly job of between 1 to 2 projects.
Required:
Google talk account to keep me updated and ask questions you may have (i am at my computer a lot of the time or can use it on my iphone)
Must be able to communicate clearly and precisely in English
