We are looking for a coder to build a perl or python program to extract GPS observation data (FleetID, VehicleID, UTC timestamp, latitude, longitude, direction, speed) from a set of truck fleets using TomTomWork devices. Data should be extracted in semi-real time and/or batch mode. Here is the TTW API:

We want to read the extracted data, with appropriate checks that data is complete, into our MySQL database for which we will provide a schema. We would like you to provide good documentation. The program must be robust and have a design such that it can be restarted when it stops without fear ofmultiple running copies or data [url removed, login to view] must also be a simple web-based front end (Python Webware a plus) to manage the accounts used to fetch the TTW data.
Please tell us what skills you think are needed to complete this project and whether you have them.
Terms & Conditions: NDA/ Development Contract / Payment Paid Upon Reaching Milestones. We also require Coder to provide an email update every three days on project status,
The Milestones are:
1. initial design review
2. implementation for single feed & implementation for multiple feeds with simple config program
3. implementation of python webware panel for configuratio
Project can be done in Python or Perl. Perl might be better.
