This project calls for a clean, production-ready multilayer PCB for a multi-mic prototype card for use in development. The schematic is done and an initial attempt at component layout has been made, both in easyeda pro. schematic pdf attached. Due to clock and signal fan-out constraints, and power supply layout constraints, need help in completing the actual PCB design. The board has 32 PDM microphones (x,y coordinates fixed) whose data are converted to TDM and sent off board via connector. The TDM clocks come in on the same connector. The board has a 3.3V buck-boost sourced with 5V from a battery connector. The 3.3V is used to power some ICs and is input to a 1.8V LDO for dual-powered ICs. Please apply your preferred professional tool—Altium Designer, KiCad, or Eagle are all acceptable—as long as the final files are compatible with mainstream fabrication houses. I am a DSP engineer and this is my first attempt at a PCB so please forgive any oversights and ignorance on my part. Deliverables • Finished board layout with complete layer stack definition • Gerber, drill and pick-and-place files ready for fabrication • Updated BoM reflecting any footprint-driven part changes • Brief placement/routing notes so I can review the key decisions I will review the initial placement first, then give the go-ahead for full routing. Let me know the estimated turnaround for each stage and any constraints you foresee.

Thanks for sending the schematic — it's in good shape, especially for a first board. Your TDM configuration is correct, the per-mic series resistors and decoupling are right, and the power section already anticipates most of the layout pitfalls. A few things I'd want to settle before placement. I don't see what drives CLKIN on the two clock buffers, and I'd like to confirm the enable pin states. The 3.3V rail could also use more bulk capacitance near each mic cluster, since 32 mics plus four converters draw a fair amount. Worth checking too that the 1.8V I/O on the TSDP1808 is happy receiving PDM from mics running at 3.3V. Finally, the connector would benefit from ground pins adjacent to each clock line. I'd build this as a four-layer board with a solid ground plane under all PDM routing, using a balanced star fanout with lengths matched as your notes specify. Altium, with standard Gerber, drill, pick-and-place and an updated BoM. Placement for your review in four days; routing and outputs six days after approval.

at first glance I looked at your schematic I found only one concern, it's not huge but certainly improve SNR. The 3.3V rail that is going to the MEMS mics need more cleaner supply rail for it's best performance. Everything else look nice, but haven't gone through each section deeply. I will use KiCad to design the board. Will design it with all 3D models. Delivrables are KiCad design files, Gerber, BOM, CPL and STEP files. If you are comfortable with JLCPCB, will prepare the BOM with LCSC Part# for easy order placing.

Hi, I’m an experienced Embedded Hardware Engineer specializing in multilayer PCB design, high-speed digital interfaces, power integrity, and production-ready hardware using KiCad and Altium. I understand the key challenges in your 32-microphone PDM/TDM board: the fixed microphone coordinates, clock fan-out, TDM timing, mixed 3.3V/1.8V domains, and the 5V battery-fed buck-boost supply. I would treat the clock and PDM routing as controlled timing-critical networks, with careful length matching, return-path continuity, ground-plane strategy, and separation from switching-power noise. I can first review your EasyEDA Pro schematic and proposed placement, verify footprints, layer-stack requirements, power/ground distribution, and identify any issues before routing. Then I’ll complete the multilayer layout, including the 3.3V buck-boost and 1.8V LDO placement, decoupling, thermal considerations, connector routing, and clean DFM implementation. Deliverables will include the editable PCB project, defined layer stack, Gerber/NC drill files, pick-and-place data, updated BOM, and concise routing/placement notes explaining the critical design decisions. I suggest a two-stage workflow: placement review first, followed by full routing after your approval. I can provide the initial placement review quickly and then proceed with the complete PCB layout. Regards.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Your project is a strong match for my 15+ years of PCB and electronics design experience. The 32 fixed-position PDM microphones, TDM clock/data fan-out, and mixed 3.3 V/1.8 V power architecture make placement and stack-up decisions especially important before routing begins. I would approach this in two stages, as you requested: Stage 1 – Placement & Stack-up • Review the EasyEDA schematic and existing placement • Define a practical multilayer stack-up and ground strategy • Optimize microphone, clock, TDM, connector and power-component placement • Plan return paths, decoupling and power distribution • Provide placement/routing notes for your review Stage 2 – Routing & Manufacturing • Route PDM, TDM clocks/data and power with appropriate signal-integrity practices • Keep switching-regulator noise away from sensitive microphone circuitry • Complete DRC and manufacturing checks • Deliver Gerbers, drill, pick-and-place, updated BOM and native PCB files Since you're a DSP engineer rather than a PCB designer, I’ll also clearly explain the important layout decisions rather than simply making changes without context. I'd suggest reviewing the existing schematic and PDF first, then completing the placement before committing to routing. Please send the EasyEDA Pro project and schematic; I can assess the layer count, routing complexity, and give you a realistic turnaround for each stage.

Hi, I can deliver your board as a complete, manufacturing-ready package — schematic, multilayer layout, and all production files — without the usual back-and-forth between designer and fab house. I have 14+ years of experience in PCB design and firmware development. I work daily in Altium Designer, KiCAD, and Eagle, and I own licenses for Altium and Eagle, so I can start immediately on your project. My background covers: • 2–16 layer PCB layout, high-speed routing, and controlled-impedance design • Mixed-signal boards, power distribution, and EMI-aware placement • Full deliverables: schematic, PCB layout, BoM, Gerbers, pick-and-place, ODB++, assembly drawings, DRC report, and 3D STEP model I previously worked at READA PCB Technology in Shenzhen as a PCB designer and production manager. That factory-side experience means my layouts are built for real manufacturing — correct clearances, sensible via strategy, and DFM/DFA checks before files go out the door. If you also need prototypes or small-batch assembly, I can coordinate PCB fabrication, PCBA, component sourcing, functional testing, and shipping through the Shenzhen network I know well from my time at READA. I am available to start right away and happy to sign an NDA before reviewing your design brief. Looking forward to your reply. Best regards, Ting
